A 3Way backpack, just like an Amulet

Amulet is a 3Way bag designed with the concept of an 'amulet.' Depending on how you use the straps, it can be enjoyed in various ways, such as a mini backpack, crossbody bag, or shoulder bag.

Functionality for Multifunctional Use, yet Lightweight and Compact

Amulet, born from the user's desire for a mini-sized daily backpack, offers versatility. By changing the position of the two included leather straps, it can be enjoyed in different forms as a backpack, crossbody bag, or shoulder bag. Despite being lightweight and compact, it has a spacious interior, allowing you to securely store essentials such as long wallets, larger makeup pouches, smartphones, and gadgets.

Design Inspired by Amulets

Amulet, as the name suggests, embodies the concept of a protective charm. Just as an amulet can evoke positive feelings and a sense of security by being held, we aimed to create a bag that fulfills and protects the wearer's heart. The design draws inspiration from amulets, with a traditional Japanese drawstring-style opening that not only looks charming but also allows easy access to the contents due to its wide mouth.

Ethical & Positive!

The Amulet, one of the 'Shubu-Shubu’ Collections, is crafted by delicately layering the smallest scraps of non-standard leather, upcycled for sustainability. It stands as a testament to a commitment to thorough sustainability and the pride of skilled artisans. From its name to the design concept and production process, this bag is crafted ethically and positively, aiming to impart a special power to those who use it like a protective charm.

Color

Bloom

When spring comes to Japan, in Ethiopia the opposite side of the world, the dry season ends then it becomes like spring.
The rain starts to drop on the dried field and it sets the flowers like Bougainvillea, Jacaranda, and Hibiscus which are unique to Africa free to bloom.
The one which was created to describe those bright and beautiful African flowers is the “Bloom”.
Vivid pink surprisingly mach with any colours and clothes thanks to its supreme texture and fine quality. Why don’t you pick this colour to brighten your day?

Green Field

The endless meadow over the horizon. The fresh breeze.

The smell of the sun. The sounds of birds singing. The one which was created to describe that beautiful and peaceful scenery of Africa is the “Green field”.
The combination of deep dark brown and elegant olive green is general but somehow fresh.
Why don’t you pick this colour to develop your sense of style?

Harvest

When the harvesting season approaches, here and there, the African land turns golden brown with the ear of wheat and minor grains. They, every time the wind blows, sway back and forth, sparkling brightly. “Harvest” is the color of subdued yellow beige, reminiscent of the beautiful rural landscape of Africa. It is casual despite its elegant color; it can be used throughout the year.

Melty Chocolate

African chocolates: something everybody loves. As much as their sweet yet bitter flavor does, the rich, deep color and melty, smooth luster captures our hearts. “Melty Chocolate” was created with the image of such enchantment that chocolates have. This brown color, exceedingly close to black, is a versatile color that can be used both for styles that go well with black, gray, navy, or other blackish accessories, and for styles that look fashionable with green, pink, blue-jeans, or other brownish accessories. It is a color that you can enjoy its aging the most, especially its increasing matte luster and taste just like those of silk.

Nile Black

The deep black with a blue tint reminds us of a night at the Nile river. If you take a closer look, you will see it with a bit bluer tint than basic black.

It is our carefully-made original black colour. We repeated trial and error and have paid a lot of passion to make this unique black. Finally, we found an exquisite amount of blue pigment to match this innocent black pigment.
The gleaming blue pigment which can hardly be seen is the secret of the intellectuality and elegance of this colour. Why don’t you pick this colour to enhance the worth of you?

This product was born with the concept f making full use of non-standard leather that is often discarded. Therefore, there may be more wrinkles or natural scratches than our normal products, but they have all passed our strength and usability tests, so they are not defects. We hope that you enjoy its one and only natural texture.

Andu amet’s products use original leather that is finished in a method -one that does not use coating with pigments, and instead is finished so that it is close to the original, leaving the natural texture of leather- to enjoy the texture and feeling of the finest Ethiopian sheepskin. This might leave color unevenness and small scratches, or cause color transfer and fading at times.
