Since its founding in 2012, andu amet has been dedicated to creating high-quality, sustainable leather goods in collaboration with skilled Ethiopian artisans. Until now, foreign investment restrictions had made it difficult for us to sell within Ethiopia—but following recent deregulations, this long-awaited dream has finally come true.
Our first retail location will be Golla Art Gallery, one of the most beautiful galleries in Addis Ababa. Surrounded by paintings, antique furniture, jewelry, and fashion pieces that blend art and craftsmanship, you’ll now be able to experience the world of andu amet right here in Ethiopia.
Our second retail partner is Sabahar. Sabahar is a WFTO certified fair trade company that produces export-quality scarves, shawls and homewares using locally sourced cotton and silk. The store is one of the most beloved destinations among Ethiopian expatriates and fashion enthusiasts.
To celebrate this new beginning, we’ll be hosting a special pop-up event on Saturday, November 29. Join us for an exclusive early preview of our upcoming Spring Collection, along with wine and light refreshments.
