Airy has successfully passed a 14 kgf load test conducted by a Japanese inspection organization. Despite its thinness, Ethiopian sheepskin contains a dense network of strong, elastic fibers, giving it remarkable durability and strength. In contrast, when thick cowhide is split to reduce its thickness, the fiber structure is diminished, which can reduce its overall strength.
