"More Comfortable than Bare Skin" - Leather Jacket 'Ebreeze'
Crafted from the finest sheepskin using our unique tanning technique, Ebreeze boasts a soft and smooth feel on both the exterior and interior surfaces. Its high stretchability and exceptional ease of movement make it a popular choice.
While this leather jacket is incredibly comfortable, proper care is essential for long-term use. In this column, we’ll share some tips on how to maintain your leather jacket!
1. Everyday Care
Although many people believe that caring for a leather jacket is difficult, it’s actually quite simple.
Steps: Dust off the surface and apply a waterproofing and nourishing spray.
There are two main types of waterproof sprays: "silicone-based," which creates a water-repellent film on the surface, and "fluorine-based," which coats each fiber from the inside. For high-quality leather products like those from andu amet, we recommend the latter. The 1909 Supreme Protect Spray is particularly effective, as it’s less likely to cause stains and provides nourishment. Simply shake the can well, hold it 20-30 cm away from the jacket, and spray in a "Z" pattern. The waterproofing agents will quickly penetrate the leather fibers. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth. This spray can also be used on the suede interior.
2. Care after Sweating
Ebreeze is crafted from a single piece of leather without lining, ensuring ultimate lightness and stretchability. However, this may make some people concerned about care.
Steps: Apply a leather-specific disinfectant spray to the areas you would like to care
If you sweat, use CARBON ODOR CLEANER, a leather-specific disinfectant and deodorizing spray, and let it air dry in the shade. For areas like the neck and underarms, use it frequently to prevent bacterial growth. Do not use disinfectant sprays designed for fabric, as their large particles can cause water stains.
3. What to do if your Jacket Gets Stained
Removing stains can be challenging, so regular care as mentioned in point 1 is the best prevention. However, over time, cuffs may darken, or unexpected stains may occur.
Steps: Use a gentle leather cleaner.
Start by testing a small amount on an inconspicuous area to ensure it doesn’t affect the leather. If safe, apply a small amount to a cloth and gently spread it over the jacket. For delicate sheepskin leather, avoid scrubbing and instead apply in one direction.
